Scott Miller is the Founder of SGM REALTY, LLC. He was born and raised in Greenville, Illinois and after college moved to the St. Louis Metro East area. Scott comes from a background of 16 years in the financial services industry including 12 years investing in real estate. He brings strong fiduciary principals, negotiation skills and years of client advisory experience to bear when working with his real estate clients.
After high school, Scott enlisted after high school and he served 4 years in the United States Navy. Earning the rank of Second-Class Petty Officer (E5) in that short time period. In addition to various written awards, Scott was honored with 2 Navy/Marine Corp Achievement Medals, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. Scott learned skills in leadership, teamwork and organization unique to the armed forces, and brings them to his Real Estate career to serve buyers, sellers and investors.
After his Naval Service, Scott attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale earning a bachelor’s degree.
After college, Scott entered financial services building a financial advisory practice focusing on the needs of the physician community. After 9 years in client advisory, he took on corporate role and earned his way on to the executive leadership team. Currently, he serves as Chief Compliance Officer for two Registered Investment Advisors and a Broker/Dealer. These experiences will help him exceed client expectations. Scott’s goal for his sellers is to net them most amount of money, in the shortest amount of time and with the least amount of problems. For buyers and investors, his goal is to find them the right home or investment property, at the best price, in the right time with the least amount of problems.
He is married and lives in Shiloh, Illinois with his wife, son and two dogs. He spends his free time enjoying the outdoors and supporting his son’s karate and other athletic activities.
